Sip and Savor at CdM

Learn how to make this delicious Gin Blossom drink by CdM bar manager, Ravin Buzzell.

You’ll Need:

• 2 oz. Sipsmith Gin
• 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
• 1 oz. hibiscus syrup
(recipe follows)
• 1 egg white
• 2 dashes Scrappy’s
Lavender Bitters

HIBISCUS SYRUP
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• ¼ cup dried hibiscus

Directions:

  1. To make the hibiscus syrup, bring the sugar, water and dried hibiscus to a slow boil while stirring.  Then turn on the heat and allow to cool while steeping.
  2. To prepare the Gin Blossom cocktail, combine 1 oz. of the hibiscus syrup with the remaining ingredients in a mixing tin without ice and shake for 20 to 30 seconds.
  3. Add ice and shake another 25 times. Fine-strain the mixture into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with baby’s breath or edible flowers. Cheers!
