The Buzz About Lost Pier Café

Lost Pier Café at The Ranch at Laguna Beach Now is Pouring Cold Brews and Cool Wines.

The golden shores of Aliso Beach have never looked more inviting, thanks to the newest beer and wine menu now available at the Lost Pier Café. The oceanfront eatery overlooking lapping waves and buttery sands, is a dining extension of The Ranch at Laguna Beach, nestled in the Aliso and Wood canyons. Although it is just a short walk from the resort, the café is open for all passers-by looking for cold beers and chilled Chardonnay to pair with the warm summer days.

Its name pays homage to Aliso Creek Pier, which was damaged by el niño and eventually demolished in 1999. The Ranch at Laguna Beach worked with the city and county to recreate a snack shack that was once there, and the result is a quaint café that serves up delicious breakfast burritos, fresh fish tacos and kid-friendly favorites.

Now, the Lost Pier Café pours from a curated menu of beer and wine, each picked appropriately to fit its simple yet flavorful and satisfying Southern Californian cuisine.

The West Coast-inspired wines chosen to star on the menu come primarily from California producers, including Tangent Wine Sauvignon Blanc, Nielsen Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sterling Vineyards Rosé. A Pinot Gris from Wines by Joe also appears on the menu and comes from California’s neighbor, a cult favorite producer that crafts wines from the top vineyards in Oregon. The beer menu includes favorites like Corona, Modelo, Stone IPA, Stem Cider and Coors Light.

The Lost Pier Café is officially ready to be the host of hungry family gatherings, sunset happy hours and summer break reunions. Cold, foamy beers and flavorful coastal-inspired wines make the perfect addition to the oceanside menu. And the sips come just as The Ranch at Laguna Beach is working expanding hours for the café and a separate dinner menu, so that people can enjoy the warm atmosphere into the night.
