ndrei’s Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails, a popular modern eatery in Irvine, recently debuted new cocktails that are perfect for the warmer months ahead! Boasting Mediterranean flavors and locally-sourced ingredients, guests can enjoy the following craft cocktails while relaxing in the open and chic space at the restaurant, or from the comfort of their own home with the recipes below. Cheers!


WHITE TIGER


Andrei's Restaurant

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 oz Nolets Gin
  • 1 oz Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz Agave Nectar

METHOD:

Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously to enable the coconut milk to froth up and create a foam head. Double strain into a coup glass. Double straining is key, it removes any small ice particles and also aides in creating a frothy head to the cocktail.

Garnish:  Use a micro-plane and zest fresh lime peel over top to finish the cocktail.


LAZY SUMMER SANGRIA


Andrei's Restaurant

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 btls Merlot
  • 2 cups Brandy (or cognac)
  • 5 oz Peach Brandy (Use sparingly, a little goes a long way)
  • 1 cup Orange Juice
  • 1 cup Pomegranate juice (POM)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 oranges (Slice into half moon shapes, should yield about 10 half slices per orange depending on the size)
  • 3 Apples (Core the apple to remove any seeds, slice into same size and shapes as the oranges)
  • 1/2 Basket Blackberries
  • 1/2 Basket Raspberries
  • 1/2 basket Blueberries

METHOD:

In  a large container combine the Wine, Sugar and fruit. Seal the container and place in the refrigerator over night (At least 12 hours). When its ready add in the Brandy, Peach Brandy, orange juice and pomegranate juice. Stir and let sit for several more hours. Make sure to taste the batch to make sure the flavors are blending nicely.

When its ready, Serve over ice in a white wine glass and garnish with several pieces of fruit from the sangria batch.


BASTILLE DAY


Andrei's Restaurant

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 oz  X-Rated liquor
  • 4 oz Brut Champagne
  • Raspberries and Blackberries

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pour the X-Rated liquor into a champagne flute and top off with a Brut Champagne (make sure to use brut champagne to help balance out the sweetness of the X-Rated)

Garnish: Top off the drink with one Blackberry and one Raspberry
