The OCWineFest Prepares for Its Inaugural Premier This November

LA’s Most Anticipated Bacchanalia Takes Over the OC

fter 12 successful years, the LAWineFest is proud to announce the inaugural premier of its sister festival in Orange County. The OCWineFest will feature many of Orange County’s boutique wineries as well as wines from Europe and Northern California. Upon entry, you will receive a glass to keep — this means unlimited tastings! There’s an All-Access option which will give you a chance to try exclusive tastings from special boutiques that produce beautiful, but limited wines. And no need for beer-lovers to stay home! The fest has some incredible curated breweries on its line-up. If that isn’t enough cause to raise your glasses, the festival will also have select vendors, main-stage presentations, a DJ and Bear Flag Fish Co. will be serving their mouthwatering poke and burritos. With all the music and delicious food pairings on its line-up, this festival is definitely worth the RSVP.

The OCWineFest will take place at A Stone’s Throw Winery in historic San Juan Capistrano. It will kick off with a charity dinner on Friday, then the festival itself will stretch over the weekend of November 4th and 5th (Saturday: 1-5 PM, Sunday: 12-4 PM).

Before the festivities begin, a VIP charity dinner will be held on November 3rd at Sun Dried Tomato at 6:30. The dinner will raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and will also honor retired USMC Col. Sean Magee for his dedication to his country and to the LLS. The gourmet dinner will be paired with several of the wines featured in the festival. A silent auction will take place, and the sponsorship levels available are for three different levels: $3,000, $5,000, and $10,000 (these will include OCWineFest sponsorship benefits). Tickets are $150 each and can be purchased here.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency devoted to blood cancers. The LLS’s mission is to cure the diseases and to support those affected by it. It focuses on providing a better quality of life for patients and families affected by blood cancer. The funds raised by the LLS provide international research opportunities dedicated to finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. They are also the world’s leading source of free blood cancer education and support services. These complimentary services are granted to patients, survivors, families, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

The Founder and CEO of both the LAWineFest and OCWineFest, Joel M. Fisher, Ph.D., aims to share his expertise and love for wine with the world. Dr. Fisher has an impressive history in the world of wine. He is a member of the Society of Wine Educators, the Circle of Wine Writers, and the International Federation of Wine and Spirits Writers. He has written for notable publications, taught in culinary schools and has traveled abroad both to educate and to learn. His goal with the LAWineFest and the OCWineFest is to create accessibility to different wines within an inviting environment for enthusiasts of all tastes and levels. And being a master himself, he understands the importance of coming together over a glass (or bottle) of vino.
