These Garlic Mashed Potatoes From the Scotchery are Going to Blow Your Mind

Ingredients

The Scotchery Garlic Butter
  • 1 Clove Garlic – minced
  • 1 tbl Butter
  • 1 oz Dewar’s (or any mild scotch of choice)
  • Salt & Pepper
Mashed Potatoes
  • 3 Cups Mashed or Riced Potatoes
  • 1 Cup Cream
  • 4 tbl Butter
  • Salt & Pepper

Method

To make The Scotchery Garlic Butter, cook garlic, butter, salt and pepper on soft heat for 2-3 minutes – garlic should be soft but not colored. Add scotch and cook another 2-3 minutes to evaporate the alcohol. Set aside.

For the Mashed Potatoes, heat cream under low heat until steam breaks the surface, but no bubbles. Add hot mashed/riced potatoes to pot. Wait 1 minute for the potatoes and cream to heat some more, add butter, salt & pepper and then add the garlic butter. Turn heat to medium and start incorporating everything. Be careful not to over mix or it will get too starchy.
